I have reprinted this article from the Roquetas magazine "La Revista" since it seems to be a common problem in parts of Spain. Sky don't intentionally broadcast to mainland Europe so, especially in parts of Spain, the Sky signals are hard to receive. If your Sky box can't get the so-called default transponder then your box will say that it can't receive a signal, even though it can probably get other channels perfectly well. A common solution is to program the box to look for a different default transponder. Your installer may well have done this when he installed your system but power cuts, for example, can make your box forget and it will revert back to the old frequency. Here's how you change it.
